Access: Pepper Peak is accessible via Twin Peaks Trailhead. Twin Peaks offers scenic vantage points overlooking Eklutna Lake and the valley. An extra wide trail great for family hikes. Find two benches along the route perfect for admiring the views and picture taking. Continue around the rim of Pepper Peak and end at stunning Eklutna Lake.
Dogs: Welcome, on a leash.
Parking: All Chugach State Park trails require a day-use parking pass or parking decal.
As with all trails in Alaska, hikers should be prepared, dress in layers, and bring plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen, a map of the area, bear spray, and a well-charged cell phone. (Please note: there isn’t cell service at the lake)
