New Year's Eve

Ring in New Year's in Anchorage. It's been a year like few others, and this year's celebrations are a little different. But with a little planning, Anchorage, Alaska, is the place to be to welcome 2022.

New Year's Events in Anchorage

After sunset, celebrate New Year’s Eve downtown. The festivities run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Chinook parking lot at 3rd Avenue and E Street. The Anchorage Downtown Partnership organizes the annual celebration, which features live music performances. You can also tune in on your car radio. The fireworks display goes up at 8 p.m.

In Eagle River, find fireworks and food trucks at Lions Park from 6 - 8 p.m.

New Year's Eve in Girdwood

This year Alyeska Resort stays up late. The Torchlight Ski Parade returns, with live music in the daylodge beginning at 7 p.m., followed by skiers and snowboarders illuminating the slopes with torches aglow, and fireworks to end the show.
