New Year's Events in Anchorage

After sunset, celebrate New Year’s Eve downtown. The main attraction will be the festivities in the Chinook parking lot at 3rd Avenue and E Street. The Anchorage Downtown Partnership organizes the annual celebration which features live music performances. The fireworks display goes up at 8 p.m. There are several events, VIP receptions, and other festivities to match any vibe and extend the night. They can be found in the nearby hotel ballrooms and convention centers, as well as bars and restaurants across the community. 

New Year's Eve in Eagle River and Girdwood

Community celebrations abound. Eagle River's festivities often include fireworks, food trucks, and other fun in Lions park. Meanwhile, Girdwood stays up late with live music and the Torchlight Ski Parade. Skiers and snowboarders light up the slopes, followed by fireworks. The Sitzmark typically keeps the party going with live music New Year's Eve.
