VIC In-Service Meetings
Passionate volunteers and staff welcome travelers and residents at Visit Anchorage’s Visitor Information Centers. Join one of the monthly volunteer in-service meetings to ensure they know your business, are familiar with your latest new product offerings, understand what your company offers, and can answer questions about your products and services. These meetings are a great way to introduce your business and update the dozens of people who first welcome travelers and help them make the most of their time in Anchorage.
Businesses are encouraged to present, sharing their news and updates with Visit Anchorage’s frontline travel experts and answering any questions. There are typically multiple 5-minute presentation slots available per meeting. Bring rack cards or brochures to help illustrate your main points, or consider offering familiarization trips or special rates for volunteers to experience your activity or service, when possible. Depending on the venue, audio/visual aids like slides or videos can also be shown. The programs usually run from 4 to 6 p.m.
Visit Anchorage moves the location of each monthly meeting as another way to familiarize attendees with local tourism offerings and activities. Interested in hosting a future in-service meeting? If your venue can host approximately 70 to 100 people for the meeting, contact Visitor & Shared Services Director Linda Brandon to learn more and get started.
Meetings will take place virtually while in-person gatherings are paused as a public health precaution.
