VIC In-Service Meetings

Passionate volunteers and staff welcome thousands of travelers and residents at Visit Anchorage’s Visitor Information Centers. We host monthly in-service meetings that feature multiple short presentations by members to introduce and update our volunteers and staff on the latest offers available in the area.

Visit Anchorage hosts monthly presentations virtually. Two meetings are held in-person; the April and August events are hosted at select member locations. In both cases, the program begins at 4 p.m. and typically lasts until 5:30 p.m.

We encourage business members to sign-up, with a plan to present for about 5 minutes each. For in-person meetings members are welcome to bring rack cards or brochures which help illustrate your main points or, depending on the venue other audio/visual aids may be used. For virtual presentations, staff will assist members with screen sharing to showcase their websites or utilize a power point presentation. As an added enticement, consider offering familiarization trips or special rates for volunteers and staff to experience your activity or service when possible.

These meetings are an excellent way to introduce your business and update the many front line travel experts that visitors and residents come to for information and to learn how to make the most of their time in the Anchorage area. If you are interested in presenting at or hosting a future in-service meeting please contact Visitor Services Director Linda Brandon to learn more and get started.
