The Chugach State Park 1.5-mile loop trail can be accessed from the Glen Alps Trailhead, just above the Hillside area in Anchorage. The loop starts out easy with a bit of a steep incline for about a half mile. It can take about 45 min to complete. You may encounter some snow depending on the time of the year and can sometime see Moose along the way. As the name implies, this is also a great trail for blueberry picking in the Fall. A popular route for those in town for a day, looking for a quick hike or plan a day trip exploring Chugach State Park and other nearby trails. An all-season trail, great for winter activities like cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and aurora viewing. Okay for kids. Dogs on a leash are okay. Day use parking pass required in parking lot.
