Spend a day relaxing at Alyeska Nordic Spa, nestled amidst the mountains and Alaska's northernmost rainforest in Girdwood. This Scandinavian-style spa offers guests a true hydrotherapy experience.

The spa provides locals and visitors with a wellness getaway just a short drive from Anchorage. Guests can enjoy a curated Spotify playlist to get in the spa mindset and enjoy local music en route. Plan to visit in any season; the indoor-outdoor spa operates year-round.

Upon arrival at the 50,000-square-foot sanctuary, guests enter an oasis free of cell phones and digital devices. The pampering begins with cozy complimentary robes and slippers and an exfoliation scrub. A “watch” provides the key to a personal locker to store belongings.

Outside, discover a tree-lined terrace dotted with whirlpools, cold plunge baths, a Russian banya salt sauna, Finnish saunas, steam rooms, and an exfoliation cabin. For the ultimate experience, a hot, cold, rest, and repeat cycle is suggested to revitalize the body.

Enter the first heated pool and feel stress and anxiety melt away. Relax and take in the sights of the surrounding trees, even more magical when it rains or snows. Next, improve circulation by jumping into chilly waters or brave a dance through the waterfall. Finish off the round by warming up near the cozy glow of the fit pits. Hang robes and stash slippers at rustic racks adjacent to the spa pools. Find restroom facilities throughout the spa area.

Continue the immersion by walking along a raised wooden walkway to explore a series of cedar hot tubs and barrel saunas scattered among an enchanted alpine forest.

Venture indoors to find spacious locker rooms with guest amenities, including hair dryers, private showers, and quiet spaces for reading or relaxing. Be sure to stay hydrated – guests are encouraged to bring a reusable metal or plastic water bottle. Water stations are available, along with complimentary infused water and tea. Or warm up with a beverage from the coffee bar as you enjoy the view through towering windows.
