Anchorage farmers markets have Alaska’s bounty from mid-May through September. Pick up fresh veggies, Alaska seafood straight from the docks, inventive local arts and crafts, and a bite from a food truck all in one stop. There are more than half a dozen farmers markets to choose from in Anchorage.

Anchorage Market and Festival

The Anchorage Market and Festival is a prime stop if you’re after crafts or souvenirs. The market is the largest open-air market in the state. It is a showcase for local artisans, and you’ll find the produce of the season as well.

It also has the biggest array of food trucks and stands. Anchorage classics like reindeer sausage and salmon quesadillas are a must. You’ll likely find fair standards like roasted corn and funnel cakes, but also Filipino food, Russian piroshky, and plenty of other sweet or savory surprises too. Starting summer of 2022, the Anchorage Market will have carnival rides too!

Spenard Farmers Market

For veggies and seafood, the Spenard Farmers Market features treasures from Alaska fields and waters. You’ll find food and crafts as well. Saturdays mid-May to September, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. underneath the Spenard windmill in the Koot's parking lot.

ANC Market Social

Enjoy the open-air, ANC Market Social - a weekly outdoor market/street fair hosted by Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd. ANC Market Social brings together local vendors, artisans, growers, and small businesses to offer Alaskan-made art, jewelry, clothing, crafts, florals, plants, fresh produce, baked goods, and specialty foods. Patrons can enjoy live music, entertainment, lawn games, food vendors, a beer garden, and more. Sundays, May 21 to September 23, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., Downtown Anchorage on E Street between 5th and 6th Avenue and Town Square Park.

All summer long, there’s a farmers market every day of the week somewhere in Anchorage. No matter when you visit, you can find fresh veggies, good seafood, local crafts, food vendors, and maybe a musical act or two.

Center Market: Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. inside the Midtown Mall, making it "Alaska's only year-round market."

Midtown Anchorage Farmers Market: Saturdays from 9 a.m - 2 p.m. at Hilcorp BP Alaska building parking lot. July through October.

Pena Park Market: Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. at Pena Park (8100 Starview Drive) Foods, veggies and grown in Alaska, with roots across the Pacific. May through September.

South Anchorage Farmers Market: Saturday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the O'Malley Sports Center. Wednesdays 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Dimond Center Mall, south parking lot.

Muldoon Farmers Market: Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Chanshtnu Muldoon Park.

Eagle River Farmers Market: Tuesdays 3 - 7 p.m. in the VFW Post parking lot, Saturdays 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at 12110 Business Blvd in Eagle River.

Grow North Farm: A cooperative urban farm offering fresh produce and hot food at regular weekly farmstands. Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 4 - 7 p.m. June through September, 3601 Mountain View Drive.
