Anchorage Farmers Market Guide

Anchorage farmers markets have Alaska’s bounty from mid-May through September. Pick up fresh veggies, Alaska seafood straight from the docks, inventive local arts and crafts, and a bite from a food truck all in one stop. There are more than half a dozen farmers markets to choose from in Anchorage.

Anchorage Market and Festival

The downtown Anchorage Market and Festival is a prime stop if you’re after crafts or souvenirs. The market is the largest open air market in the state. It is a showcase for local artisans, and you’ll find the produce of the season as well.

It also has the biggest array of food trucks and stands. Anchorage classics like reindeer sausage and salmon quesadillas are a must. You’ll likely find fair standards like roasted corn and funnel cakes, but also Filipino food, Russian piroshky, and plenty of other sweet or savory surprises too.

Saturdays and Sundays mid-May through early September 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Downtown near 3rd Avenue and E Street.

Spenard Farmers Market

For veggies and seafood, the Spenard Farmers Market features treasures from Alaska fields and waters. You’ll find food and crafts as well. Saturdays mid May to September, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. underneath the Spenard windmill in the Chilkoot Charlies parking lot.
