United Airlines plans to resume four summer routes to Alaska in 2022, Travel Pulse reports. The flights include trips between Anchorage and New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport, Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport, and San Francisco International Airport, plus another route between Chicago O’Hare and Fairbanks International Airport. The resumed routes join dozens of others connecting Anchorage to major hubs around the globe.

"Alaska has always been one of the most popular summer destinations both for air travel and cruising for tourists from the lower 48, and the decision to add the four routes back in is a sign that United believes the surge in domestic leisure travel will continue into next year," writes Travel Pulse author Rich Thomaselli.

The flights are scheduled to begin June 3, 2022. Click here to read more.
