Hotel demand was up 7% year over year for September, making it one of the best Septembers on record for Anchorage hotel performance. Occupancy for the month averaged 77%, reflecting a seasonal dip, but staying higher than September did in prior years going back nearly a decade.

ADR remains strong at $193 for the month. The rate of growth of ADR slowed again slightly month to month, as it appears to have nationally during the same period.

Hotel revenue year to date is up 34% compared to 2021. With three quarters of the year complete, the results so far provide an early hint at strong Anchorage bed tax collections for 2022.
