Visit Anchorage is hosting the National Association of Career Travel Agent's (NACTA) National conference Sept. 13-16, 2017. Part of Visit Anchorage’s responsibility is to host a reception and dinner at the 2016 conference in Fort Lauderdale November 3-6, 2016. Interested members can join that effort by attending the conference as well as the post conference cruise from Nov. 6-9, 2016.   Members can also join a trade show format. NACTA agents book more than $300 million in leisure each year.

More than 400 people attended the group’s 2015 meeting in Hawaii, a record for the event. NACTA will offer attendees a variety of pre- and post-tours including a southbound Alaska cruise, a railcar experience through scenic terrain, and, weather permitting, spectacular viewing of the aurora borealis.

“We are thrilled to continue to take NACTA members to highly rated leisure destinations. Alaska is sure to be a popular conference venue because of all the amazing pre and post experiences we will add to the conference,” said NACTA president Ann Chamberlain.

According to organizers, nearly every hand in the room went up when delegates at the 2015 NACTA conference were asked who would be interested in traveling to Anchorage.
