February saw a continuation of gains for Anchorage hotels, with solid trends month to month in the growth of ADR, demand, and revpar. 2022 ranked as one of the better Februaries on record, at least in terms of hotel revenue. According to STR, February hotel demand was up 20% compared to the same month in 2021. ADR grew to $131, rate has been consistently higher in recent months when compared to historical averages. Revenue for the month was $17.7 million. The second half of February was better than the monthly average in terms of rate and demand. This could be in part because of a handful of key in-state events held during the month, and the run-up to signature winter events in Anchorage.
