Apokrisis, LLC of Anchorage, Alaska, led by Managing Partner Kristen Fowler Lindsey, was one of 120 entrepreneurs from 32 states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico to graduate from the Babson Cohort of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses. This national program is designed to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity in their communities through the development of a strategic and customized growth plan. Starting in February 2015 for 10 weeks, Lindsey connected with peers and worked together through practical business education and training delivered through a blend of online and in-person sessions led by business experts. The small businesses in this group represent a total of $260 million in revenues and nearly 3,000 jobs from a broad range of industries. Participating business must be at least two years old with at least four employees. Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is based on the broadly held view of leading experts that greater access to this combination of education, capital and support services best addresses barriers to growth for small businesses.
