Visit Anchorage has released the findings of a study assessing Anchorage's 2014 official visitor guide. The study, conducted by Destination Analysts, assesses the usage and effectiveness of the Official Guide to Anchorage, identifies the people most likely to use and value the guide, and measures the return on investment of the guide and its economic impacts for the community.
The findings indicate a high level of satisfaction with the guide and it content. More than 80 percent of undecided travelers surveyed said the guide helped make the decision to visit Anchorage. The visitors guide also had a positive influence on length of stay.
For every copy of the guide distributed to a qualified traveler, there is an incremental increase in spending in Anchorage on a trip of $71.92.
