Alaskan Spirits Distillery captured a Gold and Bronze medal in the 2019 Great American International Spirits Competition. Spirits entries from around the world competed this year premiere competition held May 4 and 5 in Rochester, New York. More than 1,400 entries were evaluated by a panel of experts including masters distillers, certified spirits educators, brand ambassadors, retailers, importers and spirits industry writers and consultants.

Alaskan Spirits Distillery opened to the public in January of 2019, and since their opening they have not slowed down. With three spirits in the portfolio, two have now received medals. The third was not entered into the competition. Denali Fireweed was rated the number one vodka in the competition. They were 11th out of 200 products that placed, and turned out a gold medal. The top 10 were platinum and none were vodka.
