The Talkeetna Roadhouse offers year round accommodation in a mix of traditional roadhouse rooms (located in the two story log building that dates back to 1917, bathrooms down the hall) as well as hostel-style co-ed bunk spaces, dry cabins, one cabin with a bathroom, and a full house and a top floor apartment over the local museum. With a head on every pillow the Roadhouse can accommodate 41. The bakery and kitchen - famous for breakfast and cinnamon rolls - is just down the hall or down the stairs from our private rooms and bunks. Cabins, house and apartment are up to four blocks from the Roadhouse's Main Street location. There are a few separate sitting areas in the main building, a public piano, lots of books and maps and the back room dining area is cleared and reset daily with games after the breakfast service. Coin-operated laundry is available onsite and overnight guests are provided with coffee/tea/cocoa complimentary and accessible 24 hours throughout their stay. The Reservation Desk provides complete town event information and can assist guests with building activity itineraries for time spent in Talkeetna. Complimentary transfer to/from the train or motor coach is also provided upon request.
