Situated in a log cabin in the heart of downtown, the Palmer Museum of History and Art, PMHA, serves the community of Palmer, Alaska, in preserving and sharing the art and culture of the Palmer region. The museum’s collections contain items that include native influences, 1900's homesteaders, mining, trapping, farming and the Colony Project. In addition, the museum presents temporary and travelling exhibits that allow visitors to see the artwork of artists in the valley and other regions of Alaska. In the summer months, PMHA has an amazing showcase garden adjacent to the museum and also serves as a visitor's center serving up fresh locally roasted coffee while our friendly staff assist visitors in creating an ideal Alaskan vacation.
