Kenai Backcountry Lodge
Backcountry adventuring on the Kenai Peninsula. An authentic Alaskan wilderness experience at a historic and ecologically managed log lodge surrounded by one million acres of designated wilderness. Built as a hunting lodge in the 1930s, Kenai Backcountry Lodge still retains its rustic elegance with a few more modern comforts. Nine cabins and cabin-tents surround the lodge and ensure small-group quiet enjoyment of this peaceful wilderness. Our guides are experts regarding the surrounding area and will enhance your daily adventures with their knowledge and stories. Venture through evergreen forest as you hike the Cottonwood Trail to breathtaking alpine tundra. Seek out moose and other wildlife under the rich glow of the midnight sun. At the end of the day, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner served with gourmet flair. Then relax by the lake shore or in a cozy, wood-fired sauna. This all-inclusive lodge is offered in 3 day/2 night packages from June to September.
