Iron Dog, Inc.

Iron Dog is a snowmobile race covering more than 2,000 miles and 23 communities across Alaska. It occurs in February and is the longest, toughest snowmobile race in the world. During the week of the event, there are several events to enjoy! On Wednesday, you can come face to face with the racers and their sleds for conversation, pictures and autographs at The Donlin Gold Safety Expo at Cabela’s. On Friday night is Flying Iron! This X-Games style exhibition is unlike any other! Watch as X-Game medalists flip and fly through the air on their snowmachines. On Saturday morning, the Anchorage Downtown Start brings racers, fans and families to 4th Avenue. Afterwards, stick around for the Iron Pup Parade and a second Flying Iron! Join us Sunday in Big Lake for the Official Full Speed Start! Follow the race at irondog.org across Alaska and all the way to the Fairbanks Finish!
