Indian Valley Mine & Gifts, LLC/National Historic Site

Museum, gold panning, panoramic view, picnic area. We enjoy teaching the “Art of Gold Panning” to the young ones on up to the old timers! We also demonstrate how to use a sluice box and will help you recover gold from the black sands. There are two buildings on the site to browse through, both are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Strong’s Cabin now houses the gift shop and his Assay Building acts as a museum filled with old-fashioned mining tools, and some that the miner made by hand himself!
