Anchorage Museum Store

Museum stores are always good places to shop for design items and jewelry, but they can start to feel generic after a while. At the Anchorage Museum, we feature our take on Northern design and placed-based items. In lieu of stereotypical tourist items, we examine our place in the North and use that distinction to feature projects that are Museum-designed, artist designed and curated to pair our interesting place with interesting items. The Museum’s mission is to highlight the art, design, culture, science and history of the North, and that is reflected in our merchandise. From authentic works by Indigenous artists, to books that offer many perspectives into Northern people and landscape, to art and clothing that plays off stereotypes and plays up good design, we are a distinct Museum Store in a distinct environment. North, by design. The Anchorage Museum tells the real story of the North, and the museum's store reflects this through a collection of contemporary designs by artists who capture the spirit of the North. The Anchorage Museum has the largest and finest collection of contemporary Alaska Native art, and you'll find an impressive array of authentic Native art and crafts in the museum store, along with books, jewelry, toys and games for creative learning and distinctive items for the home. Everything in the museum store is inspired by the museum's collection. Purchases support museum programs. Open during museum hours. The Anchorage Museum Store was named among the world's 10 best museum stores by Conde Nast Traveler.
