Alaska SeaLife Center
The Alaska SeaLife Center is the only facility in Alaska that combines a public aquarium with marine research, education as well as wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. The Center lies at “Mile 0” of the scenic Seward Highway on the shores of Resurrection Bay. We offer close encounters with puffins, octopus, harbor seals, sea lions, and other marine life. See puffins fly through underwater skies and view seals and sea lions as they glide past our oversized underwater viewing windows in our Nose to Nose exhibit. Discover more with an animal encounter or experience to see what goes into caring for our Alaska’s marine wildlife! Get a hug from a sea urchin at the Discovery Pool filled with seastars, urchins, and anemones. Other exhibits include a Seabird Aviary, Giant Pacific Octopus and hundreds of invertebrates. The Alaska SeaLife Center generates and shares scientific knowledge to promote understanding and stewardship of Alaska's marine ecosystems. Call ahead or ask the ticketing staff for schedules, pricing, and details. Open daily year-round, with extended hours until 9:00 pm in the summer. The Alaska SeaLife Center is located downtown, 301 Railway Avenue, Seward, Alaska. Call toll-free 1-888-378-2525 or online at www.alaskasealife.org.
