With its vast mountain ranges, rugged coasts, and prolific wildlife, Alaska is one of the world’s last places with a staggering diversity of intact wild ecosystems. Alaska Conservation Foundation understands that the wild lands and waters of Alaska require a concerted effort to protect them from exploitation and the impacts of our changing climate. Alaska Conservation Foundation is the only foundation in the country dedicated solely to protecting Alaska's natural environment and diverse cultures and ways of life it sustains. We support grassroots advocacy, lead climate change adaptation efforts, and strengthen Alaska's conservation movement. By monitoring complex economic, political, and cultural landscapes across the state, we identify opportunities and prioritize where to direct funds to achieve meaningful conservation success.
