Cynosure Brewing

At Cynosure Brewing we brew well-balanced, nuanced, and welcoming beers with a focus on Lager and Belgian styles. We strive for drinkability in our beers -- the quality that makes for eager anticipation of the next sip and the next glass. Brewer Clarke Pelz began homebrewing in 1989 in a small Fairbanks cabin. After a move to Anchorage and a stint as an engineer, Clarke worked for a local brewpub and was head brewer for 10 years. He and his wife Cindy Drinkwater opened Cynosure Brewing in the fall of 2016. Cynosure’s comfortable tasting room features the work of Alaskan artists and typically features 10 beers on tap, plus non-alcoholic options. Food trucks are often parked outside, or you can bring your own food or order in. Look for Cynosure beers at restaurants and bars throughout the state.
