Discover and connect with Alaska public lands with a National Park Service ranger as you walk through downtown Anchorage on a Public Lands Walking Tour. On this tour, rangers stop at a few statues to discuss the special culture in Alaska, a few unique animals that reside here, and the history of our public lands. The tour ends with a beautiful look out over Cook Inlet.
Tours run twice daily all summer long and last approximately 45 minutes. Be prepared to be outside the whole time.
Tour groups meet and leave from the front steps of the Alaska Public Lands Information Center. They will leave promptly at the scheduled time, no need to come inside beforehand.
