The Tour of Anchorage is one of the few point-to-point cross-country ski marathons in North America. New this year, the Fat Bike Tour of Anchorage! The Fat Bike TOA provides bikers an exciting new event while giving skiers another option if course conditions are marginal or impossible for skiing. All races finish at Kincaid Park on the western most side of the city near the coastline of Cook Inlet. Come for the race and stay for the party. Enjoy the scenic beer garden at the finish line!
There are 4 ski race events: 25k freestyle, 25k classic, 40k freestyle, and 50k freestyle. In each event, participants range from elite ski racers to recreational skiers challenging themselves to finish. There will be 2 bike race events, as 50k and 40-k that follow the same courses as the ski races and traverse Anchorage on ski and multi-use trails.
The 40k and 50k races start on the east side of Anchorage and traverse the city along ski and multi-use trails. The 50k course is one of the few point-to-point courses in North America! The 25k race starts at mid-town and joins the same course. The views and the fun bring people from all over the country to participate in the Tour of Anchorage.
