The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage brings you the annual Solstice Tree Tour - a uniquely Alaskan celebration of Winter Solstice and the return of longer days!

As a northern community, we love that this event that encourages all ages and abilities to get outside and celebrate the winter solstice. The event planned is a tour of the trees along the first 2.5 k of the Mize Loop.  Local businesses sponsor trees along the route and decorate them to create a winter wonderland along one of the most well-loved trails at Kincaid.

You'll also be able to walk the loop, a rare treat on Kincaid's ski-only winter routes.  There will be a bike corral for bikers to leave their bikes and walk the loop. Sponsors will provide hot chocolate, coffee, adult beverages, and s’mores at warming stations along the way. This is a very popular, family friendly event that brings together people of all ages.
