Join the Anchorage Museum for a First Friday event that celebrates winter activities, local authors and musicians, and Alaska Native culture and corporations.

Book release celebration with author Julia O’Malley, who worked with the museum to publish The Whale and the Cupcake.  Live music with Kat Moore/The Forest That Never Sleeps in the elevator plus Marian Call, Ursa Miner, Aspenyarrow and Ava Earl in spaces throughout the museum; watch Alaska music videos and listen on headphones; check out the Anchorage Museum's Unbound Record release, Holvut//Howl, in the planetarium (Rapid Space Shorts in the planetarium before and after the record listening party); learn about waxing skis and fat tire biking from local experts; explore the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) in a Close-Up program; meet UAA student writers; or participate in a panel on Alaska music.

Muse restaurant and atrium cafe open. Free general admission.
