We're promoting our soon to be released EP, "Eyes of Your Soul," and our album "Let It Rain," all original music. We also play a wide repertoire of covers...Jimmy Buffett, Van Morrison, Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, Maroon Five, John Mayer, Frank Sinatra, Bob Marley, and many more. We summarize our style as New Acoustic Americana Soul Pop. Tight three-part vocal harmonies and top notch instrumentalists.
Sweet vocal harmonies backed up with top notch instrumental playing, the Hawaii based trio Artistic License performs original music plus favorites from the twenties to the present. True to the name of the group, they take artistic license with a wide range of styles including contemporary pop, folk, jazz, latin, rock, island style, etc! Smooth and strong vocals are at the forefront, guitar beautiful and bold, and violin in lovely tune and tone, bass rock solid. Violinist Terra Jean Otto is classically trained and a skilled improviser with the ability to move fluidly through multiple styles. Mentored by Vassar Clements, she has shared the stage with him and his Little Big Band, as well as performances with Peter Rowan. She has also performed with John Cowan, Leftover Salmon, David Grisman Quintet and String Cheese Incident. John Gilleran is a classically trained singer and toured Europe as a featured soloist in a madrigal choir. He was signed by Warner Bros. early in his career and recorded a major hit Summer Sun. Dave Greenberg has been playing bass for over 45 years and has shared the stage with major acts including The Guess Who, Lou Christie, Chubby Checker, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, and most recently Los Lonely Boys.
