The annual Anchorage School District Student Art exhibition showcases some of the district’s student artwork, giving kindergarten through high school students the opportunity to experience their artwork in a museum.

This year’s theme is “Diversity.” Teachers select the pieces, which include drawings, paintings, multimedia works, jewelry and sculpture. In addition to the Anchorage Museum, student artwork is on view at several other locations across Anchorage and Eagle River, including Anchorage City Hall, Chugiak-Eagle River Library, Z.J. Loussac Public Library and the Midtown Mall. The exhibition is presented in conjunction with National Youth Art Month, a recognition of visual arts programs in American schools.
