Nature writer Bill Sherwonit will cover topics from his book "Alaska's Bears." It's a discussion of the behaviors, adaptations, and lifestyles of polar bears, black bears, and grizzlies (also known as brown bears). Bill will also examine some of the myths about the dangers they present to humans, and talk about recreating safely in bear country.
Walk-in programs are open to all. These are generally appropriate for children (suggested for ages 10 and up) who have a special interest in the topic being presented.
