Alaska History Day Student Film Showcase

Come and learn something new about Alaska, from some of its great student filmmakers! Each year around 500 middle- and high-school students participate in the Alaska History Day program. They research and create history projects in five categories, including short films (under 10 minutes). Join us in the Alaska Public Lands Information Center's theater to view some of these Alaska-themed films made over the past 10 years, which include stories from World War II, the Alaska Railroad and Alaska Native civil rights pioneers. Be sure to bring a photo ID to get through the building's security!
