Bob Rink Real Estate is seeking dependable, hardworking team members to join our housekeeping crew for the busy summer tourism season in Anchorage.

In addition to residential real estate, we manage several recently remodeled short-term rental homes located on 10th and 11th Avenue near the Delaney Park Strip in downtown Anchorage. We provide housing to both locals and visitors year-round, and our summer season is already fully booked.

We currently have multiple housekeeping positions available with steady cleaning work throughout the summer.

About the Position

This is a fast-paced role with short turnover windows between guest stays. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, efficient, detail-oriented, and take pride in maintaining clean and welcoming spaces for guests.

Schedule

  • Most cleanings take place between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and take between 3-5 hrs. each
  • Shifts may fall on weekdays and weekends depending on bookings 
  • Most jobs are scheduled in advance 
  • Occasional last-minute “RUSH” cleanings may become available for those interested 

Summer is our busiest season and typically slows around mid-September, though continued work into the fall may be available for interested team members.

Our Properties

Our rental homes include:

  • An older two-story home with: 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen 
  • A newer two-story home with: 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms 
  • A newer split-level home with: 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen 

All homes have been recently remodeled.

Daily Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Stripping used linens and removing trash 
  • Making beds 
  • Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and dining areas 
  • Sweeping and wiping floors 
  • Dusting all visible surfaces 
  • Wiping down refrigerators and disposing of leftover food 
  • Cleaning and preparing coffee makers for guest use 
  • Starting or swapping laundry when needed 
  • Restocking and returning items to their proper places 
  • Taking out the garbage

Housekeepers will also be asked to send a short update after each cleaning so accurate guest reviews and property notes can be maintained.

Basic training and a walkthrough of expectations will be provided.

Requirements

Applicants should:

  • Have reliable transportation 
  • Be dependable and punctual 
  • Work well independently and occasionally with another cleaner 
  • Be comfortable working in a physically active environment 
  • Be able to lift approximately 30 to 35 pounds 
  • Be able to bend frequently and climb stairs 
  • Have strong attention to detail 
  • Follow cleaning checklists and complete required tasks thoroughly 

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred, but not required for the right person.

We provide basic cleaning supplies and equipment. Experienced cleaners are also welcome to use their own preferred equipment and supplies if desired.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from $100 to $150 per cleaning job, depending on:

  • The size of the home 
  • Standard cleanings or RUSH/last-minute cleanings
