Shuttle Driver / Ground Operations Agent - Alaska Helicopter Tours

Monday, February 10, 2020

Seasonal Shuttle Driver / Ground Operations Agents are usually the first team members to meet Alaska Helicopter Tours guests when they pick them up at their hotel. It's all about first impressions, so this is one of Alaska Helicopter Tours' key positions!

You will be driving a full size passenger van (12 to 15 passengers) and pick up people at various hotels, based on a manifest. Once everyone is on board drive them to our base at Knik River Lodge, where they check in for their tour. Once all guests are checked in, you walk them down to the helicopter area (two sets of stairs, so you need to be able to navigate those multiple times per day), where you assist the guests with over-boots, life jackets or other personal gear depending on their tour. Next, you help them into the helicopter and off they go. Upon return you help the guests getting out of their gear and make sure the helicopter is clean and ready for the next trip. Drive your happy people back to their hotel.

If you are a friendly, smiling personality that enjoys meeting people form all over the world and you have a clean driving record, we'd love to get to know you better! Couple of important notes: since you will be operating motor vehicles and be around helicopters we require a pre-employment drug test and you will be entered into a random testing pool during employment. You will need a clean driving record and be at least 21 years old to be accepted by our insurance. We will also need a clean background check. Must be available May 1 - September 1.

Pay is $12-14 per hour DOE plus tips. We have full time and part-time positions available. Some positions have two round trip transfers per day, in that case you work a maximum of 4 days x 10hrs. End of season bonus available, based on performance evaluations through the season. Sponsored employee housing may be available, details on request.
