Results of a recent Visit Anchorage member poll show broad support for policies aimed at mitigating the spread of COVID-19, such as requiring mask usage, social distancing, and other best practices. Of the 140 members who responded to the poll during the week of Nov. 2, 2020, 82% supported or strongly supported policies that require mask usage and other practices.
There was also broad agreement that these policies were necessary to meet the needs or desires of travelers, and that they helped attract visitors. Of the respondents, 80% agree or strongly agree, with 9% disagreeing or strongly disagreeing.
Visit Anchorage has members across the state, with the vast majority based in and around Anchorage. For this poll, 75% of survey participants were based in or operating in the communities of the Municipality of Anchorage.
