Anchorage set a hotel revenue record in the month. At $43.8 million, June 2019 had the highest hotel revenue of any month, breaking a record previously set June 2015. June 2019 also saw the strongest-ever performance for that month in terms of hotel rate - up 8% from June 2018 - and hotel demand - up 9% from June 2018. The city also saw a boost from two significant meetings: the National Veterans Golden Age Games early in the month, and the American Ornithological Society near June's conclusion.
