The Anchorage Fur Rendezvous is guided by the board of directors of Greater Anchorage Inc. The board annually has opportunities for energetic, hands on and engaged community individuals with a passion for this premier community winter festival.
In the effort to uphold 83 years of tradition while continuing to sustain our not for profit organization, we are continually evaluating our business, network and partnerships. Fur Rondy provides an infusion of funds to our city as a winter attraction, as well as a hub to multiple organizations that participate in our festival to raise funds for their initiatives.
This letter is to inform your organization of our upcoming elections, tentatively slated for early July 2018. We have a few seats that are opening on our board, and want to be focused and welcoming of new talent to build depth and critical support. We are specifically seeking individuals that have backgrounds in Legal, Finance, Marketing, Tourism and Event Planning. We welcome any application of an individual that is well networked, loves the festival, and is willing to lend their expertise to this important element of our community.
