April hotel revenue was up 5 percent year over year, according to information from Anchorage hotels provided through STR. Revenue growth can be traced to April's average rate, up 3 percent year over year, and was compounded by a slight uptick in demand.

The shift of Easter and Passover holidays in 2018 increased demand in April by approximately 3,000 room nights.
