Spring has sprung! The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is excited to announce the first calf of the season was born April 12! A caribou calf was successfully delivered around 9 a.m. that day and both mother and calf are doing well! Newborns are often taken off-exhibit for health reasons, though we plan to have the calf on display for feedings in the coming days.
