New for 2012: Traditions and Trolleys Pass

Steal a deal and learn more about Anchorage and Alaska with the Traditions and Trolleys Pass. For $35 you can visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center and get a guided city tour with Anchorage City Trolley. Explore Alaska Native culture and meet Alaska's first people and then explore Alaska's largest village, Anchorage.

The Alaska Native Heritage Center introduces visitors to Alaska Native traditions and customs of both the past and present. Alaska’s 11 major culture groups are represented through art, educational exhibits and replicas of six life-sized ancient dwellings. Visitors also have the chance watch and listen to traditional dance, song and stories from the past.. Cultural representatives are available to answer questions and share how their ancestors survived in an Arctic and sub Arctic climate, what their daily lives were like and how their people are adapting to a changing world today.

Step aboard Anchorage’s first trolley for a lively informative sightseeing tour of Alaska’s largest city! Relax while the guide shows you how and where Alaskans live, the Alaska Railroad, Lake Hood (the largest and busiest floatplane base in the world), mysterious Earthquake Park, our famous fragrant flowers, great shopping areas and favorite dining restaurants.

Tours are available daily in the summer. Visit Alaska Native Heritage Center and Anchorage City Trolley Tours for more information.
