Most members are small local businesses that qualify for the minimum annual dues of $400. It’s a valuable investment that comes with a suite of benefits — just keep reading.

Once you become a member, you gain access to compelling and award-winning publications, an authoritative website, brochure distribution at Anchorage's Visitor Information Centers and other important advertising tools: Members receive valuable exposure to their target markets through Visit Anchorage’s Official Guide to Anchorage, restaurant guide, calendar of leisure events, and robust marketing programs.

Visit Anchorage provides an annual update to the municipality and the community at large on tourism marketing and the visitor industry in Anchorage at the Report to the Community, held in January.

The state of Alaska historically commissions research measuring the number of annual visitors to the state, methods of entry to Alaska, country of origin, and economic impacts of the state's visitor industry.

The U.S. Travel Association has published industry insights and statistics since 1973. The organization commissions research to measure both domestic and international travel to the United States, as well as the national economic benefits and effects of the visitor industry.

Government Relations for the Tourism Industry

By joining Visit Anchorage, members gain a more powerful advocacy voice than they have alone. In addition, members stay informed on political developments that may affect their business. By representing members on tourism issues in the state capitol and in front of the Anchorage Assembly, Visit Anchorage works to maintain political support that allows the visitor industry to do its job, and improves our community for residents and visitors alike.
