In a price comparison survey with several other cities, Anchorage has the best prices for many key meeting services. In individual cost comparisons Anchorage had the most affordable breakfast service, cheese tray for 50 attendees, coffee, trade show and audio/visual set up*. Anchorage’s prices came in lower on nearly every item, and there’s one other sweet difference that gives Alaska’s largest city a price edge.
While many cities nationwide add a sales tax of anywhere from 7 to 9.75 percent, there is no sales tax in Anchorage. That means costs of a meeting in Anchorage are reduced even further on the final bill.
