Alaska SeaLife Center

Alaska’s premier public aquarium in Seward, Alaska. On the shores of Resurrection Bay, visitors to this unique "window to the sea" have close encounters with puffins, octopus, sea lions, seals and more. The Alaska SeaLife Center is the destination to experience Alaska’s marine wildlife. See puffins fly through underwater skies and view seals and sea lions as they glide past our oversized underwater viewing windows. Discover more with a behind-the-scenes tour or animal encounter to see what goes into running an aquarium and caring for our amazing resident wildlife! Follow our exhibit “Alaska’s Pacific Salmon – the cycle of life”; then enjoy a close encounter with living tide pool creatures at the Discovery Pool filled with seastars, urchins and anemones. Other exhibits include Alaska King Crab, Giant Pacific Octopus and hundreds of species invertebrates. This world-class cold water marine research facility is also home to Alaska’s only permanent marine mammal rehabilitation center.
