With 1,100+ species of hardy perennials and 150 native plant species, ABG is a wonderful place to experience Alaska’s growing season. The Garden features a Gold Medal Peony Collection, Anchorage Heritage Garden demonstrating gardening practices and heirloom plants from the past, our 20-year old Herb Garden, sub-arctic rock garden, wildflower trail and more! Adventurous visitors can explore the 1.1 mile Lowenfels-Hoersting Family Nature Trail to the North Fork of Campbell Creek where salmon run, and ptarmigan fly.
