Take lunch at a trendy museum restaurant before perusing 10,000 years of Alaska history at the Anchorage Museum. Embark on the delectable chocolate tour and enjoy scenery, history and some of the finest confections that Anchorage has to offer. Stroll down the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail.

Dine at a popular wine bistro and sample a flight or two, before delighting in a high-caliber performance at a downtown theatre. Throughout the year you'll find a variety of shows and productions make on local stages.
Day 2 City Center

Morning
Start with a rib-sticking retro breakfast at a local diner then slap down skis at Kincaid Park and glide around 31 miles (50 kilometers) of winter wonderland groomed for both diagonal and skate skiing. Be sure to yield to moose. In summer you can rent bikes.

A popular brewpub is the perfect spot to satisfy a hearty lunch appetite. Afterwards, drive to Chugach Foothills for an encounter with polar bears, Amur tigers, Bactrian camels, wolves and many other cold climate and exotic animals inhabiting a natural boreal forest at the Alaska Zoo.
