Wildlife and glacier day cruises. Kenai Fjords National Park full-day and half-day cruises feature up-close viewing of Alaska's wildlife and glaciers. Join us for an adventure into the exciting world of Alaska's wildlife and glaciers. Cruises range from 3 to 7.5 hours in length. These cruises will be guided alongside large bird rookeries, sea lion colonies, providing stops for pictures and to view passing whales and sea otters. You will also have the opportunity to view several types of glaciers including tidewater. You'll often witness calving - the process by which glaciers shed giant blocks and slabs of ancient ice. To enhance your experience a Kenai Fjords National Park Ranger is onboard narrating the cruises providing information on the history and ecology of the area. Our Junior Ranger program is popular with the kids. To top it all off by dining while cruising on a freshly prepared Alaska salmon and prime rib meal.
