Volunteering at Visit Anchorage

Share your knowledge of Alaska and enthusiasm for travel with people who visit Anchorage for vacations, conferences, and business trips. Visit Anchorage operates visitor information centers in Downtown Anchorage and Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, and is seeking residents interesting in sharing their love of Alaska with our visitors. As a volunteer you’ll meet and greet visitors, provide details on local activities, accommodations, events, and other information, and assist guests in making the most of their time in the community with directions, trip advice, and tour referrals.

Skills and Abilities

  • People skills and interpersonal communications are a must.
  • Sound knowledge of Anchorage and Alaska – with plenty of opportunities to learn more.
  • Commitment to great customer service, and solid sales skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Comfortable in a fun, busy environment.
