    Cyrano's Theatre Company

Winner of the 2010 Tony and one of the most-produced plays in the country. This intense and exciting play is about famous American abstract expressionist painter Mark Rothko as he paints the biggest commission in the history of modern art, a series of murals for New York's famed Four Seasons Restaurant. So why did he return the money and they ended up as a permanent installation at the Tate Gallery in London? RED captures the dynamic relationship between the artist and his creation. Preview slated for May 2 at 7 p.m.; production run is May 3-12 and May 30 - June 16.

Jack Dalton's fifth play encompasses the story of the last indigenous person on Earth, locked in a laboratory dedicated to "saving his people." Confronting science and religion, this futuristic play strives to help us understand what it means to be human, and what goverment, business and society define him as human. As usual, great humor will mingle with deeply disturbing content trying to find hope in humanity, strikingly bringing into focus current politics.

The Gold Nugget Triathlon is dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls through athletics. It is "a woman's fitness event encouraging women of all ages and abilities to participate." We at Gold Nugget Triathlon believe that our women's triathlon is more than just a one-day event. Women and girls train for this event year-round, and many sign up as a way of kick-starting a brand new training and fitness regime, and not only lose the weight they were struggling with, but change their lives in the process. Mothers and daughters train for this event together, as do groups of friends and colleagues. We are delighted to be able to put on an event that brings so many people together, and gets so many new women and girls involved in the sport of triathlon every year! The Alaska Women's Gold Nugget Triathlon is put on every year by Gold Nugget Triathlon, Inc. (GNT), a not-for-profit organization founded in 2003.

Honor Flight, the movie, is a heartwarming documentary about four living World War II veterans and a Midwest community coming together to offer the trip of a lifetime. Volunteers fly thousands of WWII vets to Washington, D.C., to see the memorial constructed for them in 2005. These trips are called "honor flights," and for the veterans it's often the first time they've been thanked - and it's the last trip of their lives. Last Frontier Honor Flight is raising funds to start offering honor flights to Alaska vets.
