Celebrate and honor the arrival of the Colonists from 1935, who started the Matanuska farming community! Events include the Colony Days Parade, Golden Wheel Carnival, Mat-Su Trivia Contest, Ice Cream Social, Colony Days Bed Race, Friday Fling Market, Salmon GONE WILD Smoked Salmon Contest, Colony Days Kids Games, Outdoor Food Court, Bill Mitchell Fun Run, Alaska Mountain Soaring Glide Demonstration, Aerobatic Exhibits, Alaska Sky Sports Sky Diving, Aircraft Displays, Hot Air Balloons, and much, much more.
