Get DATES for 2010 Arctic Thunder is Elmendorf Air Force Base's annual open house and air show. Historically, Arctic Thunder has been the largest two-day event in Alaska.
The base hosts Arctic Thunder to demonstrate its appreciation to the Alaska community for its support of the military, to educate the public about the military's mission and to recruit people interested in joining the service.
Of course, there is more than just planes! Arctic Thunder 2008 will have games, food and fun — a great event great for the whole family. The next Arctic Thunder is scheduled for June 28 and 29, 2008. The actual air show days fall on a Saturday and Sunday.
