Basic Searching: Type a word or phrase into the search field and click the "SEARCH" button. By default, the search engine places an "AND" between multiple words. So, for example, a search for ANCHORAGE HOTEL returns Web site pages containing the words ANCHORAGE and HOTEL or the exact phrase ANCHORAGE HOTEL.

Exact Phrases: To search for an exact phrase, place your search phrase in quotation marks. So, for example, a search for "ANCHORAGE HOTEL" only returns those pages with the words ANCHORAGE and HOTEL next to one another.

Wildcards: Use the underscore character "_" to indicate a single character wildcard. For example, a search for "Fishing Trip_" would return "Fishing Trip" or "Fishing Trips." Use the percentage sign to indicate a multi-character wild card. For example, a search for "ALASKA'S % WONDERS" would return "ALASKA'S WONDERS" and "ALASKA'S SCENIC WONDERS."
