Check out the excitment! March Madness Alaska is one of the state's largest high school championship tournaments. With 80 teams participating and playing more than 110 basketball games over the week, this single tournament brings together top-flight high school hoopsters from across the largest state in the union. With all that excitement it's no wonder friends and family come in droves to support their kids and students. To add to the anticipation, this year will be the first time games are played inside the Alaska Airlines Center on the UAA campus.

Basketball is arguably the biggest sport in Alaska high schools; more students participate in the sport than any other.
